Web Designer
About the Role
We're looking for a Web Designer who obsesses over details — someone who can take a rough product concept and turn it into pixel-perfect UI that engineers actually want to build. You'll work directly with our tech leads on client projects spanning SaaS platforms, agency websites, and enterprise portals. No design-by-committee, no death-by-Jira. Just you, your tools, and a team that respects the craft.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end UI for client web products — from initial wireframes to developer-ready Figma files
- Build and maintain a shared component library aligned with each project's design system
- Collaborate directly with frontend engineers to ensure design intent survives implementation
- Conduct UX audits on existing products and present actionable improvement plans
- Own the visual direction of Lamio's own brand touchpoints (website, case studies, proposals)
- Define interaction patterns, micro-animations, and responsive breakpoints
- Participate in client discovery sessions to translate business requirements into UX goals
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional web / product design experience
- Mastery of Figma — Auto Layout, Variables, component variants, and dev handoff workflows
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex UI systems, not just landing pages
- Solid understanding of HTML/CSS constraints — you design things that can be built
- Experience working within established design systems and also creating them from scratch
- Comfortable working remotely with async communication (Notion, Slack, Loom)
- Fluent in English (working language); Spanish or Catalan is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for mobile (iOS / Android) or Smart TV platforms
- Basic Framer or Webflow skills for rapid prototyping
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other utility-first CSS frameworks
- Motion design experience (After Effects, Rive, or Framer Motion)
- Previous agency experience — juggling multiple clients simultaneously
